Eilish McConville
women’s soccer
McConville led the country in goals scored this season with 22 in 16 regular season games, adding four more during the playoffs. She helped her team to the national final in British Columbia and was named Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s Player of the Year.
Connie Dayboll
women’s rowing
Dayboll was named one of two Oarswomen of the Year for the Canadian University Rowing Association (CURA). She was also part of two gold-medal winning crews at the CURA championships in St. Catharines this fall.
Faye Pang
women’s lacrosse
Pang led her team in goals scored, with 24, and was a major part of their silver medal-winning performance at the provincial championships. In addition to being names a first team all-star, she was awarded the league’s outstanding offensive player and the Outstanding Graduating Player awards.
Braden Novakowski
men’s cross-country
This season, Novakowski came back from injury to win the Gaels’ first ever provincial gold medal, leading Queen’s to a third place overall finish. He advanced to the national championships where he placed 30th.
Adam Ross
men’s football
Linebacker Ross finished second in the province with a total of 55 tackles and set the Queen’s record for single-season solo tackles with 49. He helped the Gaels to their first playoff spot in three years and
will graduate from Queen’s with the second highest career tackles with 116.
Tyler Lewis
men’s soccer
In his second year in net for Queen’s, Lewis recorded six shutouts and allowed only seven goals. He helped the team to the OUA East division title and a spot in the provincial semi-finals where they lost to eventual champions, the Western Mustangs.
The women’s soccer team
The Gaels finished the regular season with a record of 12-1-3 and the OUA East division title. They lost to Ottawa in the provincial finals but advanced to the national championship where they lost to the University of British Columbia in the final. It was the team’s first trip to nationals since 1988 and the first appearance by a Queen’s team in a national championship in 14 years.
