This pride month, I’ve had the privilege to actively reflect on what I want to advocate for within the LGBTQ2S+ community. 
I approach the writing of this report from the standpoint of a Queen’s alum. I have witnessed and experienced first-hand the pervasiveness of sexual violence and harassment on this campus.

Dear Editor,Are students selfish for desiring normalcy? If they were, would over 20,000 undergraduates students at Queen’s have accepted a sub-par education at sticker price despite knowing online schooling has disastrous impacts on physical and mental health?
Contrary to what the media would have you believe, there’s nothing funny about someone suffering through a mental health crisis.
Queen’s encourages students to enrol at Athabasca University to make up credits when completing them at Queen’s is not a timely or viable option.
The challenges of shifting to online learning have been well-documented.
University is a pivotal time for mental health
In 2019, there were 2,207 anti-Semitic incidents in Canada reported in an annual audit conducted by the League for Human Rights.
The average Arts and Science student at Queen’s University will pay roughly $28,000 for their four-year undergraduate degree.
The Rohingya refugee crisis affects more than 600,000 people by taking lives, tearing families apart, and burning homes to the ground.
While leading a clean lifestyle has always been important, it’s now become a popular trend. Unfortunately, not everyone has the means to participate. 
Student engagement has been trending downward for the last 10 years.  
Being a student in 2020 has come with its fair share of added stresses.
