This Friday, the men’s basketball team (10-9) played their only game of the weekend against the York Lions (6-13), landing a comfortable 111-71 victory at home.

On Saturday night, Marianne Alarie pushed her way into Laurentian’s zone and dropped in an easy teardrop layup. 

Over the weekend, the men’s basketball team (9-9) pulled together one hard-fought 84-75 overtime win against the Nipissing Lakers and suffered an 85-72 loss to the Laurentian Voyageurs. 

After posting two consecutive blowouts against the Nipissing Lakers and Laurentian Voyageurs—beating the former 95-69 and the latter 72-46—over the weekend, the women’s basketball team (11-7) is a contender come playoff time in February.

The women’s basketball team (9-5) faced two teams with two very different trajectories in the OUA standings this weekend.

The men’s basketball team was dealt back-to-back losses at home this weekend by the Ryerson Rams and University of Toronto Varsity Blues.

After a rough 93-65 loss on Friday night against the Laurier Golden Hawks (5-3), the Gaels (4-3) rebounded Saturday night against the University of Waterloo Warriors (1-7) with a 83-75 win last weekend.

The women’s basketball team is riding high.

Teammates are used to people confusing them for siblings—but for Kingston locals and Gaels forwards Jesse and Tanner Graham, the assumption isn’t unfounded.

In their home-opening weekend, the men’s and women’s basketball teams put up strong performances.  

After finishing last season with an 11-12 record and losing their last four games, the men’s basketball team is ready to improve as they open their 2018-19 campaign. 

After falling early in the playoffs last season, a new batch of young players may pick the women’s basketball team back up this season.
