Tapping into the traditional rivalry between Commerce and Engineering, the Tri-Colour Classic (TCC) is hosting a basketball game between the two faculties with the goal of raising 100,000 dollars—after being matched by donor—for the Canadian Cancer Society.  
The Gaels have not prevailed over the Mustangs in the last nine matchups they’ve played. Unfortunately, Saturday was no different: Western made it ten with a win on home turf.

Intramurals season is upon us

Intramural program registration opened at the ARC on Sept. 7.
Queen’s met Trent on Miklas-McCarney Field last Sunday for their first game of the season. Heading into the game, the team was ready to give it their all.
On Friday Sept. 9, Women’s Soccer had their third game of the regular season.
This past Saturday, the Queen’s Gaels destroyed the Brock Badgers 64-0 in their first regular season game at Nixon Field since winning the national championship there last year.
With school back and in-person, the ARC has seen many students flocking through its doors in the past week. However, not every student has been able to find what they are looking for.  
On Sept. 2, the Queen’s women’s and men’s soccer teams laced up their cleats and faced the Carleton Ravens at Richardson Stadium.  
You’ve no doubt seen the commercials: sports betting is live in Ontario and the big companies are eager to get everyone on their apps. 
Lightning delayed the start of the Gaels and Gee Gees Sept. 3 matchup at TD Place in Ottawa. 
The Gaels met the Varsity Blues at Richardson Stadium on Aug. 27.
Following the few months she served as interim Executive Director, Linda Melnick was officially named the next Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation (A&R) in August.
All Queen’s students can learn to ride horses, and the Queen’s Equestrian Club is the place to start. 
This fall, it’s time for students to fill the stands. 
When athletes graduate from Queen’s, they’re not only leaving Kingston, but also leaving behind an integral part of their identity.  
The Queen’s Gaels Women’s Rugby team took to the pitch in Ottawa on July 17 and 19 to take on the United States U20 and U23 teams. 
Due to COVID-19, the past few years have seen limited capacity and reduced Athletics and Recreation (A&R) programming.
