Kingston Election Night 2019

Kingston and the island’s Liberal candidate Mark Gerretsen was re-elected for a second term, capturing 46 percent of the vote on Oct. 21. The Journal was present on election night as Gerretsen celebrated his win at Cloverleaf Lanes.
On Sept. 27, hundreds of students, faculty, and of the Kingston community marched through campus to demand climate action from Queen’s istration.

The Final Four-Piece

For most students, there’s nothing more memorable about their first year at Queen’s than grabbing a late-night four-piece at the Lazy Scholar. The four-piece—an affectionate term for four chicken tenders on a bed of curly fries—remains in the minds and hearts of a lot of students for the whole of their undergrad, even though few make the trek to grab it once they leave residence.
