of the Kingston community now have the chance to help design the future of one of the city’s most populous and high-traffic intersections—Princess Street and Division Street.
As part of the city’s new Hub Project, the intersection’s revitalization will be the focus of public engagement at an event on the corner of Princess Street and Barrie Street on Sept. 29 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
of the general public are invited to contribute their ideas for artwork that will present a modern backdrop for the bustling intersection. Specific details about collaborating artists have yet to be announced.
The city’s Cultural Director Colin Wiginton said, “Active and lively public places are key to making Kingston a smart and livable 21st-century city.”
“The Hub Project is an exciting opportunity to make this iconic gateway to downtown Kingston look and feel as vibrant as the neighborhoods it connects.”
