Taylor Burns

A returning staff writer, Taylor Burns has provided some of the best A&E articles we’ve seen this year. Peppered with wit and graceful turns-of-phrase, Taylor’s stories often offer an alternative lens through which to see the art he writes about. We expect to see this gifted writer back in the pages of the Journal the moment he returns from exchange next year.

Matt Rushworth

Matt Rushworth turns lead into gold for the Journal’s photos section. He has a strong intuition for colour and composition. Matt has never failed to impress the Journal with his abilities and will shoot pretty much every concert we throw at him. His pictures are solid and he’s always up for the job.

Greg Weston

Greg Weston has stood out in his work for the sports section so far this year. He has demonstrated a strong understanding of and ion for sports writing, particularly in his hockey coverage, and has shown an irable willingness to learn. He has been one of the sports section’s most reliable writers and does a great job overall.
