Impressed with AMS’s sustainability initiative
Dear Editors,
RE: “Sustainability new focus for AMS services” (Journal, Jan. 17, 2006).
I was impressed with the attention given to the environment and sustainability in your Jan. 17 issue of the Queen’s Journal. As a Queen’s alumnus (ArtSci ’85), a professional advisor on the “greening” of the new Queen’s Centre, and now a deputy leader of the Green party and candidate in Ottawa Centre, I am pleased to see these important issues being seriously researched and debated in the Journal and on campus generally. I am a former Journal writer and photographer (1981-85) in the days when we had not even imagined there might one day be an electronic edition that could be read instantly up here in Ottawa. Keep up the good work.
David Chernushenko
Deputy Leader, Green Party of Canada
