Kingston Police investigate defaced posters
Kingston police are investigating two incidences of racist vandalism in the Queen’s community.
Last week students brought two posters to the Queen’s Human Rights Office. One poster was a “For Rent” sign; the other was a Human Rights Office “Colour of Poverty” poster.
Both posters were defaced with racist messages and were signed by the white supremacist website stormfront.org.
The Human Rights Office ed the posters on to Campus Security, who ed the case on to the Kingston police.
Police spokesman Const. Mike Menor said an investigation is ongoing.
He said he can’t comment on the procedures surrounding such an investigation, but said the website on each poster is a starting point in identifying any perpetrators.
