I’m not going to lie-when it comes to reading for pleasure, I have a habit of turning to Harry Potter when the opportunity presents itself. I’ve always felt either guilty or stressed when I choose to read a novel over my textbook readings, and re-reading childhood favourites requires little time commitment or concentration. One of my New Years’ resolutions is to read more; unsure where to start, I asked fellow students, friends and family for their favourite literary picks, both from their youth and beyond and here is what people recommended.
