Men’s soccer ends season on a low

After stringing together a five-game unbeaten streak, the men’s soccer team lost its last regular season game, falling 4-1 to the Carleton Ravens in Ottawa on Saturday.

Midfielder Mike Arnold notched the Gaels’ only goal, which was the first of the game. The normally staunch Gaels defence allowed two goals in the first half, though, and the Ravens didn’t look back.

The loss finishes Queen’s season at 8-2-4, good enough for second in the OUA East and a first-round bye. The Gaels will host the quarter-final on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. at Richardson Stadium.
