On Jan. 19 the Gaels had a home game against the University of Toronto (U of T) Varsity Blues where goaltender Christian Purboo, ArtSci ’25, secured a shutout in a 3-0 win. Purboo was named Queen’s male Varsity Student-Athlete this week.

Men’s Basketball

Sitting at third in the U SPORTS national rankings, the Queen’s Men’s Basketball team was another varsity Gaels team to win both of their weekend games.

Like the women’s team, the men played TMU on Jan. 19 and won. The final score was 82-73. On Jan. 20 they beat U of T, though the game was close with a score of 96-91.

Their next home game is on Feb. 2 against Laurier. Tip-off is at 8:00 p.m.
