Talking Heads: What is your least favourite course you’ve taken at Queen’s so far?

“PHYS116: Introduction to Physics II. I’m not a fan of physics, but as a chemistry major, I had to take it. I chose 116 over 115 because I had fewer friends in 116—most of my Life Sci friends were in 115. Physics doesn’t come easily to me, and it felt unmotivating at times, but I made it through and, thankfully, I don’t have to take physics anymore.”

“PSYC271: Brain and Behaviour. It was really hard. The structure of the course was two mid and a final so it was just brutal.”

—Nadia Mensah, ArtSci ’25

“BIO339: Animal Physiology. It was a really bad lay out of the course and the instructor didn’t do it well. The tests were also extremely hard.”

—Haylee Nezan, ArtSci ’26

“Chem 281: Organic chemistry. It’s a really well-structured course and the instructor is a great professor but personally I had a bad experience in the course trying to understand the content even when I would do extra content. It was very difficult, and I struggled hard core.”

—Sanchia Samaraweera, ArtSci ’25

“PHIL151: Great Works of Philosophy. It was just so much writing and I hate writing. It was also online when I took it and so that was not great.”

—Niels Morizur, Sci ’26
