Team ECG earns a gold star in CESA election

New executive wins 97.2 per cent of the vote, earning the confidence to lead the Concurrent Education Student Association

Class is in session with the next executive team for the Concurrent Education Student Association (CESA) elected.

As the sole team in the race, President-elect Emily Gluckman, Vice-President (Internal) elect Claire Gravill, and Vice-President (External) elect Grace Baillargeon—all ConEd ’27—received 279 votes in favour, 22 against, and 31 abstentions.

With Team ECG receiving 97.2 per cent of voters’ confidence, they have affirmed Society ’ trust in the their ability to fulfill the responsibilities of the executive team CESA Council—the ultimate decision-making body for policy and political affairs of the Society.

The newly elected team declined interviews in an e-mail to The Journal on Feb. 24, citing they didn’t have any new statements to make.

However, they said they’re super excited to get to work on making the school year incredible for the entire Concurrent Education community. The team expressed excitement to start scratching things off their to-do list when elected, starting with Council hiring.

“We’re super excited to start hiring a council for next year, and that’s the first thing we will be working on in our new roles,” Gluckman said on behalf of the ECG team in an e-mail to The Journal.

The new executive will oversee CESA’s operations for the 2025-26 academic year starting May 1.
