In lieu of the release of the much-anticipated Great Gatsby movie, what better way to celebrate than in Great Gatsby style. I was inspired by the idea while watching Made In Chelsea, a British reality TV show where throwing parties are a full time job. Feathers, champagne and bowties, anyone?
Dress code
For the Ladies
• Faux fur stoles, shawls or jackets
• Feather boas
• Strings of faux pearls
• Red lipstick
• Silk slip-like dresses (bonus for lace detailing)
• Diamond clip on earrings
• Flesh-coloured stockings
• Kitten heels

• White gloves
• Feathered headband: Take a piece of ribbon, enough to fit snugly around your head; glue gun the ends together and glue 2 white feathers so that they rest against the side of your head

• White Christmas lights
• White table cloths
• If you’re renting tables opt for circular ones
• White tea lights
• Place card holders in the shape of cigarette holders with name cards tied around them
