Racist incidents on campus this week prompted online condemnation from Principal Woolf and Vice-Principal (Academic) Patrick Deane.
The Queen’s news centre reported that three cars in the parking lot of An Clachan residence were vandalized with derogatory racist .
The Journal has learned that one car had “Jew” written on it and two others each had “nigger” written on them.
Anyone with information about this event was encouraged by Woolf and Deane to Campus Security.
A second incident occurred in a campus library, where a student was subject to derogatory slurs about her faith and culture.
“Racist actions and attitudes have no place at this University where we have an obligation, and opportunity, to educate one another to overcome stereotypes and prejudices,” the message from Woolf and Deane stated.
The statement also encouraged students in need of to Health, Counselling and Disability Services.
