In an effort to make resources and s more accessible to students, the University has launched a new Sexual Violence Prevention and Response webpage.
This change was spearheaded by Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Coordinator Barbara Lotan, who was appointed in May 2016.
The re-vamped webpage makes resources easy to locate, with buttons labelled “Get Help Now” and “Give Help” to help point students in the direction they need.
If a student selects the “Get Help Now” option, they’re able to locate safe places, medical resources and s on campus. The “Give Help” option provides students with information on how to help their peers affected by sexual violence, detailing lists of what to do and what to avoid when ing them.
The new webpage also includes a definition of sexual violence, the University’s commitment to students affected by sexual violence and a list of emergency response resources.
