Woman has rings stolen in ARC, Kingston Police sought persons of interest from footage

On the morning of Nov. 15 a jewellery theft occurred in the Queen’s Athletic Recreation Centre, and Kingston Police took to social media to identify the two suspects caught on tape.

A woman in the Lower Level One change room had taken off her three rings to wash her hands, and as she was drying them, another women attended the counter. 

When the woman went back to get her rings, both her rings and the other woman were gone.

Kingston Police identified the woman at the counter as a person of interest, and shared in their release that she had previously been heard talking to another woman in the bathroom stall. Both were seen leaving the change room shortly after the incident on video surveillance footage. 

The video was ed on the Kingston Police YouTube channel, and by evening two of the women had come forward and given statements to the police.

However, the rings still had not been recovered as of Thursday evening, and the investigation is ongoing.
